Day 11; Gökçeören
It was interesting talking to the other walkers last night. One Dutch couple were spending 7 weeks doing the full walk and had a company (or rather a very knowledgeable person) planning their accommodation and progress including baggage transfers. Another couple from Germany come and do a week at a time so this is their second leg and a Spanish brother and sister pair living in Epping are also doing about a week. Everyone is finding it tough going despite being active people.
I wish today had been totally uneventful but my new lightweight rucksack sprang a leak as if my unloved tent was trying to escape. It was a glued seam and the heat of the last week melted the glue. A poor design (why wouldn't you stitch) poorly executed; why wouldn't you use glue that would hold in temperatures we get in the UK?
Today I depart at 9am and with a few water stops arrive at 2pm. As the sign says it is only 13km but that still takes 5 hours of fairly constant walking and is over easy terrain.

My host kindly agrees to sew it together and I will use some cord I have as a 'corset' to take the load pressure away. I say kindly agrees, her body language and facial expression was more "what, you expect me to do the sewing". I can start working on my letter to the suppliers.
The Dutch couple from the last Pansyion turn up and like me they appear doubtful they are in the right place; I still haven't quite tuned into how rustic life can be in Turkey.
When I had arrived at the Pansyion and enquired about price I was presented with a peice of paper. I wrote 900TL for half board to which my host wrote a hopeful 1,000TL; an extra £3 I was happy to pay as I knew I had a sewing favour to ask.
Lunch is a pancake (Gözleme) with cheese and spinach cooked over wood which was smouldering away until fired up.
